I want to tell you, it's been quite a crazy year buying consumer goods.

In fact, it's been so distorted in the economy with some items going up a great deal in price, others going down.

And it's been quite a seasaw.

If you remember a year ago when people weren't really interested in driving very much,

there was a world oversupply of oil and in turn gasoline that was virtually unprecedented.

And there was a time last spring that people were having to pay.

Oil producers were having to pay to get somebody to take their oil from them.

That's how bad it got.

And now as you've seen at gas stations, that is definitely not the case anymore.

And so gas prices have gone up quite a bit.
