And we begin with something that has never happened before.

Yesterday, the price of oil dropped below zero and then kept free falling all the way

down to minus $37 a barrel.

That means for a short time, sellers weren't just giving it away.

They were paying people to come get it.

The reason comes down to supply, demand, and storage.

Because of the coronavirus, we're not driving cars, airlines aren't flying planes, and many factories have shut down.

With the economy at a standstill, there is so much unused crude oil sloshing around, the energy companies have run out of places to store it.

According to Bloomberg and the Wall Street Journal, refineries, pipelines, and even ocean tankers

are currently filled to the brim. Relief will come only

when the economy starts humming again.

Tonight might be the perfect night to catch a shooting star. The annual Lyrid

meteor shower started last Thursday and typically can be seen in the night sky

for 10 days. But the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles says the peak viewing should be tonight, weather permitting of course.

The lirids are tiny bits of rock and dust left behind by a comet and each year year, around this time, Earth drifts through a cloud of debris

from this comet's last trip through our solar system, which was back in 1861. It helps if you're an early riser since the best time to spot

shooting stars will actually be an hour or two before dawn tomorrow morning,

but you can still look for some if you're a night owl after 10 o'clock tonight and

scientists say this could be the last chance for a while the next good meteor spotting
