Hey friends, this is Michael Brown and you are joining us for a very special edition of the Line of Fire.

I am speaking with Catholic scholar and author E. Michael Jones.

He holds a PhD from Temple University in American literature.

And in a piece that is very hostile to him, published by the ADL, he's described as a Catholic

writer who seeks to defend traditional Catholic teachings and values from those he perceives

is seeking to undermine them. I believe Dr. Jones would affirm that. It also calls him an

anti-Semitic Catholic writer who promotes the view that Jews are dedicated to

propagating and perpetrating attacks on the Catholic Church and moral standards, social stability,

and political order throughout the world. So I want you to know that Dr. Jones and I will speak

respectfully to each other as fellow scholars. In fact, I had appreciated some of his earlier

work from the 90s sharing certain burdens about culture wars, et cetera. We're going to speak to

each other with respect, but we have committed to be utterly candid. So we're going to be as

candid and forthright as possible, but don't be uncomfortable with it. That's why we're doing

the show to put

issues on the table. Is what Dr. Jones is saying anti-Semitic? Is he onto something important?
