This is Handel on the Law, marginal legal advice, where I tell

you you have absolutely no case. There have been a whole series of cases where people at

baseball games have been hit in the head, particularly, and a substantial traumatic injury has resulted sometimes.

Now, a lot of people bring their baseball mitts, especially kids, hoping that a ball comes flying

next to them or towards them and then they grab the ball with their mitt and everybody

stands up and cheers and they put it on the jumbo screen and happy campers.

Well, there is a 16-year-old kid or a six-year-old boy who suffered a fractured skull and

severe brain damage when he was beaned by a baseball thrown by an Angels, L.A. Angels player

who was warming up before the game.

This was a lawsuit that was filed on the family's behalf, actually brought by the boy's mom.

And the argument, well, there's no issue as to the damages, as you know.

Remember, duty breach causation damages, which is a negligence award.

Do they have a duty to maintain a safe environment? Yes, they do. Did they breach that duty?

That's the argument. Did it was what they did cause the damage? Of course it was. It was the baseball

that was hit or thrown by the player. and then the damages are insane, of course.
