And we begin with the Hubble Telescope celebrating a birthday with an out-of-this-world gift for you. The giant space magnifier launched into the stars three

decades ago and has since helped answer some of mankind's biggest questions like, how old is our

universe? About 13.8 billion years as a matter of fact it's

also taken some amazing snapshots from its orbit 353 miles above earth And now you can find out exactly what wonders it

captured on your birthday. NASA has set up a special web page where you can enter

the month and day you were born and up will pop an image

straight from the stars. We've got a link for you to give it a try on our resource

page at kidnews.org. Come this fall, distance learning could take on a whole new look.

California's governor is painting a startling picture of back-to-school possibilities

for the state's 6 million plus students. Among his ideas, splitting the school day into

morning and afternoon shifts, having some kids physically on campus while others learn from home and dividing up lunch and recess periods for better

social spacing.

Governor Newsom admits that he needs to talk further with teachers and community leaders

before making any final decisions.

But as he said, we need to get our kids back to school.

And if you live in New York State or Maryland, get ready to cover up.

Yesterday, the governors of both states announced that as of this weekend, all residents

will be

required to wear a face mask or covering when out in public. The strict new rule will apply inside stores and public transit

and any time it's impossible to stay six feet away from another person.
