Peter expected to fight in the Garden, not in the courtyard.

Peter told Jesus that he would die for Him. And he meant it. He just wasn’t ready at the right time.

0:00.0	So just a brief thought on this good Friday.
0:07.1	So I had the chance a number of times to go to Israel,
0:10.0	to go to the Holy Land.
0:10.8	And there are churches commemorating all these spots
0:13.8	all throughout Israel.
0:15.2	And one of my favorite churches is the church,
0:18.4	they call Galacantus.
0:20.0	It's the church of the Cockcroat, that's Galacantus means.
0:22.4	And it's Caiaphas' house.
0:25.0	And so it's an incredible place to be,
0:27.7	not only just to recognize in the dungeon there,
0:30.2	there you can still go down into the basement of this place.
0:33.0	And right down there you can pray Psalm 88,
0:34.8	which is this lament of God you just abandoned me.
0:38.2	It's the prayer that traditionally speaking Christians
0:41.6	have always believed that Jesus prayed that
0:43.1	as he was held in that dungeon,
0:44.9	a Caiaphas' house.
0:45.9	And so one of the traditions is you go down
0:47.9	to the dungeon there and you just pray Psalm 88.
0:50.7	It's the one Psalm out of 150 Psalms.
