policy in the opposite direction.

Last week, the Chancellor said the government backed airport expansion, including a new runway at Heathrow.

And there are reports that there could be approval for a new oil field at Rosebank off Shetland.

At Commons question time, the Green Party MP, Carla Denier, tackled Ed Miliband on airports.

Experts are clear. The savings from the government's clean power action plan will be wiped out by 2050 if airport expansion at Heathrow, Gatwick and Luton goes ahead.

And relying on so-called sustainable aviation fuels would use

up to half of the UK's agricultural land. Ed Miliband dealt with airport expansion briefly.
