President Biden just announced a plan to release a record setting one million barrels

of oil a day for the next six months from the country's petroleum reserve, much of which

is stored in underground salt caverns in Louisiana and Texas.

The goal would be to get that oil above ground and into gas stations from coast to coast

to help offset spiking prices caused by our crackdown on Russian oil imports.

Industry experts say the move will help, but not make up for all that's been lost, and

the impact on prices will be minimal.

Still, Mr. Biden has been under pressure to take this step for a while, as the invasion

of Ukraine by Russia, a major global supplier of oil has created instability from markets

all over the world.
