Today is Monday, April the 1st, 2019, which, in case you forgot, is April Fool's Day.

No one's quite sure how this tradition began

but it's definitely survived the test of time around the world.

Just about everywhere, including here in the United States, it's a day to pull a prank on someone.

In England and Ireland, though, there is a time limit. You have to joke someone before noon,

or you're the fool. In France and Italy,

tricksters tape paper fish to the backs of their friends. In Greece,

if you successfully pull a gag on someone,

you're supposed to get good luck all year.
