Summary

In today’s podcast we meet a player who has taken the art of bass playing to a whole new level. Victor Wooten may not need much in the way of an introduction as one of the bass world’s great pioneers. When word reached the SBL office that Mr Wooten would be making a rare appearance in the UK, the opportunity was too good to miss.

1:24.9	finger style, along with a plectrum as well sometimes, but, you know, if we talk about hierarchy, I would say that finger style along with the plectrum as well sometimes but you know if we talk
1:29.4	about hierarchy I would say that finger style is up there and and then under that would really be
1:35.1	palm muting I use it so much and then obviously underneath palm muting would be slapping
1:40.4	and and plectrum playing as well but you know right know, right up there is palm muting. It's something
1:45.2	I use all the time in pretty much every song I play at some point I will be palm muting.
1:50.3	And I do something that is, it's advanced parmuting because I'm not only using my thumb,
1:56.9	I'm also using my index and sometimes my middle fingers as well to incorporate and get more complex grooves.
