Hey friends, welcome back to the Ruth Joe Simon's podcast. Today I want to just give an update on

what I'm doing to stay in God's Word.

I don't know if we've talked about this before or if you remember, but if you and I were having

coffee, I will always be honest and go first and share about how hard it is sometimes for me

to truly, you know, get in the word and be consistent

and desire it more than all the other things in my life.

I just want to go first and make sure that you all don't think that people who write books

or write Bible studies are always just having these quiet times where the birds are

chirping and the coffee is flowing and their hearts are so filled. Sometimes it's like that.

Sometimes it really is like that. Sometimes there's pages and pages of journaling and notes.

But I know for me, it gets really discouraging sometimes if I see on Instagram everybody else having

these robust and rich and beautiful time with the Lord. And yet I feel like I'm in a desert season.

Or I feel like, gosh, I didn't really get anything out of it. What's wrong with me? Or I'm really

struggling to long for God's word is something really wrong with my heart and my walk with the Lord.
