| 0:00.0 | Your attitude is your life, and that is the quote of the day. |
| 0:30.0 | Welcome back to the quote of the day show. I'm your host, Sean Croxson of Sean Croxson.com. |
| 0:38.0 | Happy Monday to you. Yes, the week has just begun. We're going to kick it off right with our featured speaker Keith Harrell. |
| 0:45.0 | He's talking about having the yes I can attitude. He's talking about being optimistic, being enthusiastic. |
| 0:53.0 | He's talking about the fact that it's Monday. We're four days from Friday, but we have a choice whether to embrace the week and say, yes, I can do this or to not and say, oh my God, I can't wait until it's Friday. |
| 1:05.0 | And so this is a fantastic talk. It's from secrets of super achievers the same program that last week's Jim Valdon will talk was from and I hope you enjoyed. Here's Keith. |
| 1:16.0 | I reflected back on my life and I realized I said, Keith, when did you really embrace this? Yes, I can't attitude. The year was 1960. It was my first day of kindergarten. |
| 1:26.0 | Who's trying to figure out how old I am? I remember my mom coming in the room. She said, honey, it's time. Get up. It's time. I jumped up the first thing I noticed. My mom had my school clothes all laid out. |
| 1:36.0 | I'm omelette out of pair of jeans and a pair of quarter-roiers. I didn't realize it then, but my mom was teaching me a yes I can't attitude. She was giving me a choice. |
| 1:43.0 | I couldn't make my mind up so I put them both on. You ever try to walk with two pair of pants? I could barely move. My mom came back in the room and she said, honey, you got to make a decision. |
| 1:53.0 | But my mom is going to leave it up to you. It's a five-year-old little boy I put on the quarter-roiers. Why? Because I thought I looked cute. |
| 2:01.0 | And you know what I love about them is when I used to walk, they'd kind of talk. Switch, switch, switch, switch. When I went to work backwards, when I walked backwards, they'd kind of double-switch. Switch, switch, switch, switch. I'm going to be able to use the word quarter-roiers. |
| 2:12.0 | I'm going to be able to still wear those quarter-roiers every now and then. If you can visualize a five-year-old little boy swishing out to his mom's car, I was in the back seat. I was just jumping up and down. |
| 2:21.0 | My mom got in the driver's seat. She turned around. She didn't say a word. She just gave me a big o' hug. |
| 2:27.0 | That's the first moment in my life. I realized it's okay to get excited. I had a date last week and I haven't had one in a long time. I picked her up. I was just so excited. |
| 2:37.0 | I got in the back seat and started jumping up and down. |
| 2:42.0 | Maybe that's why the date didn't go too good. I mirror my mom driving the car up on Stevens Elementary School. How many mom and dad's we have in the room? I believe it's all about family. |
| 2:51.0 | I saw my school for the first time. I thought it was the biggest building in the world. I said, my mom, is that my school? |
| 2:57.0 | We must have walked up 67 flights of stairs to finally get to room 106. I still can't figure that one out. |
| 3:05.0 | I remember going up to the other boys and girls. I remember my name. I was right in the first row with a little tin car. |
| 3:10.0 | If I name on the front and back. I remember my mom waving goodbye. She even blew me a kiss. Pretty powerful computer, wouldn't you say? |
| 3:18.0 | You know, I'll never forget Miss Peterson, my kidney garden teacher. I don't believe anybody in that class who could ever forget her. |
