Today's expression is great.

It is no pun intended.

No pun intended. So in other words, if something is not intended, it means you did not

mean to do it. It was an accident. So no pun intended means you made a pun, but it was not intentional.

It was an accident.

It was not intended.

So what is a pun?

P-U-N.

Well, a pun is basically a joke where you use two words that sound the same but have different meanings and you make a funny sentence.

So two words that sound the same but they have different meanings but you use them in the same situation. So it's funny. And I'll give you an example.

So one of my students a long time ago asked me, Shane, do you teach English? I said, yes, I have lessons

Monday through Friday.

Oh, and how many hours a day do you teach?

Well, I teach 10 hours on Monday, 8 hours on Tuesday, 6 hours on Wednesday, and so on.

And then I said, that's why they're called lessons, because they lesson from day to day.

Did you understand that? So, so, so on Monday, how many lessons? 10, 10 hours a day of lessons.
