Good morning

here from Live Build Change and this is another morning mindset edition of the

Live Build Change Podcast. The Live Build Change Ministry,

Business, Movement is an effort to help you live your faith in real authentic ways, to build a business

It's the piece that aims at helping you build your faith because building a real faith a that your relationships of business, you know, education, school, neighborhood

interactions, I mean all of it is rooted in the stability of a vital vibrant living faith.

And so this morning mindset is here to help you get your mind right for the day so that you can

do that one day at a time, 365 days a year.

So we're wrapping up James Chapter 1 today and we're in verse 26.

And this passage really has some very interesting ideas in it.

And these ideas have to do with being religious.

And I don't know if you think of yourself as a religious person. A lot of Christians don't.

Because they say, I have a relationship with Jesus, not a religion.

And I would be the first to say a big loud Amen to that but James is using the word because it's the word he intends to use it's the right word for what he's saying. Here's what he says. He says if

anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless.

Religion that is pure and undefile before God the Father is this, to visit orphans and widows in their affliction

and to keep oneself unstained from the world. So when he says that word

religious he's using it in the proper sense, not this perverted

sense that we see in our day and age, where it's an effort to try and get to God by doing

good works. That's what James means by the word religious.
