Don't leave me try I, uh, when I, I started surfing in like 1957 and, you know, back then there was only a few hundred surfers around, so, uh, you felt like you're on on something pretty special and something kind of secret and you

felt like the rest of the world were sort of unknowing, a little bit darkish and you were

very cool because you knew what the real deal was and surfing just the sensation of surfing

and everything about it.

The culture, just everything was so appealing that you got what

John Severson, one of his surfoomies, was called Surf Fever, and that's what you got

when you tried it.

I think no matter what you're doing when you're a teenager, you feel that a little

bit, you know, even if it's playing video games.
