Ladies and gentlemen, in breaking tradition of the Mic Drop podcast, I'm not going to go through all of the accolades and accomplishments that my next guest has accomplished because he's already been on here.

This is a round two of a gentleman who I am honored to be sharing the desk with today.

0:43.0

You know him as Joe the policeman from the What's Going Down episode of That's My Mama.

0:49.0

Please welcome to the Mic Drop podcast desk again Nick Herring.

That's going on man. How are we doing? I had to throw that. I was going to throw that in there last time.

0:57.0

Did you make that one up off like right now? I did. I was good. I like that.

1:01.0

I had to come up with something smart at. Yeah, yeah. I like it.

1:04.0

That's good shit. How the hell are you doing? Tired man. Tired from... it's been a pretty busy year so far and then having a two-year-old right now is like...

1:15.0

That's a real ball breaker.

1:16.0

It's one of those things that your parents are the older people around you. They tell you wait to have a kid. I did wait but I wasn't prepared for the mental tolerance that you have to have to have a two-year-old. It's like a drunk-migit.

1:32.0

I think you're loaded. Yeah, right. I didn't think I was working for a while.

1:37.0

There he goes. Yeah. Took about two years. No, I know it. My kids are a little older but they absolutely give you the best of everything and the worst of everything.

1:49.0

It's some of the funniest shit you've ever seen in your life and some of the most stressed out and worried you've ever been.

1:54.0

Can I fight this little guy right now? Yeah. You old enough to fight. Right? Oh man.

1:59.0

I'm fucking UFC gloves on him. Heck yeah. Yeah, it's interesting. The anticipated or this is what I thought was gonna be like and then this is what it actually is.

2:11.0

I know it's true for everybody but there were a lot of things. There's anything in particular since we're talking about it that you thought was gonna be a certain way and it's way different whether it's better or worse or whatever.

2:23.0

Sleep was one. He was born November 28th my birthday. I made this vow to myself growing up. I was like I'm gonna have a child before I'm 30.

2:34.0

As it got closer to that time, I was like I didn't hurry up. I was gonna do the whole artificial insemination thing if I wasn't working and ended up working.

2:44.0

I wanna say sleep was the hardest one. The first two weeks he was born he was in the ICU. He had like some irregular heartbeat type thing where it would beat and stop and then pick back up again.

2:58.0

I was born with the same thing too so they kept him in this ICU thing. Actually I take that back. That whole part was a blur. It was like looking through a straw.

3:07.0

When he was born it was just focusing on him. Life was just kind of changing for a little bit and they rushed him off to a back room. I didn't find out to later that his heart actually stopped for a while.
