Huffman's awesome episode all about esophageal dysphagia.

Julie Huffman is a speech pathologist at UNC Rex Hospital in

in Raleigh, North Carolina. She has 22 years experience in dysphagia

evaluation and treatment in a variety of settings with current focuses in

outpatient rehab, skilled nursing, and oncology services.

She has a special interest in esophageal disorders and how they affect

orophragal swallowing for the last 15 years.

She has been instrumental in devising new protocols

to include consideration of the esophagus

for both fees and MBS studies

throughout the continuum of care in her hospital system.

She's been teaching on the subject for over 11 years.

Julie is currently pursuing research opportunities related to

esophageal disorders and esphasia and she is a graduate of the University of

Buffalo just like me.
