Formed in Los Angeles in 1977,

X was one of the original and best-known West Coast punk bands. DJ's tastefully frenetic beats not only laid the foundation for the band's success,

they were essential elements of X's compositions.

Over the past few decades, X has undergone its fair share of hiatuses and reunions,

but DJ has pushed himself to evolve artistically by studying

jazz and developing his vibraphone skills. He's collaborated with dozens of bands across many genres

and has led his own groups, the bone break syncopators, and orchestra super strength.

DJ is currently back on the road with X, and he also has upcoming dates with the Devil's

Brigade scheduled for later this year, as well as a new album with the strip miners slated
