My guest today is here to shatter those preconceptions.

She was recently featured in a full page article in the New York Times that

detailed her journey to furnish her first New York City apartment entirely through thrifting.

Her name is Amanda Lindner, and today you will hear her mention that thrifting has really come into the 21st century.

Thrifting is not about grandma and grandpa's old hand-me-downs any longer.

Thrifting is about utilizing the internet to your advantage so that you can save money and keep perfectly good items out of the landfill.
