After talking about Curtis Hansen's LA Confidential, today we're bringing in the nice guys.

The new buddy action comedy from Shane Black, the writer-director of Kiss Kiss Bang Bang,

and the highly paid screenwriter responsible for such 90s blockbusters as Lethal Weapon,

The Last Boy Scout, and The Long Kiss Good Night.

Set in 1977, The Nice Guys Stars Ryan Gosling and Russell Crow as two of LA's not-so-finest.

Gosling plays Holland March, a lazy private eye whose business is dried up with the introduction of no-fault divorces.

Russell Crow plays Jackson Healy, a burly hired goon who beats people up for a living.

Holland and Jackson team up to track down a missing young woman named Amelia.

They get invaluable help from Holland's daughter, Holly, played by

Angory Rice, who's considerably smarter and more focused than the two of them put together.

As many, many, many, many people keep dying, the three are roped into a dangerous conspiracy

involving the porn industry and the big three automakers.
