We're back at it.

New Year, new semester, new episode.

Just living our best new life.

It's all the newness right now. Indeed. We're sitting here

together in Washington DC at the Dominican House of Studies in the domestic

Institute just looking out over Michigan Avenue so if you hear the low thrum of passing vehicles,

that's because it's the low thrum of passing vehicles.

Funny how that works out, right? It's crazy.

You know, sometimes what you hear, what you think corresponds to reality, actually most of the times.

Most of the times, nearly all the time.

So we're here during the Lenten season and we're going to be deliberate about the way that we approach Lent as a way of helping our

listeners to be deliberate about the way that you approach Lent. So perhaps you've

started off with the intention to take on some extra Latin practices or perhaps to get rid of some things

that may be a source of temptation or a source of distraction.

But what we're going to focus on are just the basics. So things that are part of every happy, healthy, holy Christian flourishing life, the type of things that, yeah, regardless of whether you are professor religious or if you are in fifth grade at the local public school.

These are things that are going to be part of your Christian life.

So we're just going to walk through simple things like prayer, like sacraments, we're going to talk about study, we're going to talk about the different
