If you're waking up on the west coast, you might want to go back to bed after you listen to the final hour of our show, I should say USC and UCLA going to be playing late and also if you're waking up on the East Coast, you may need to take an app because that Michigan going up against UCLA game is not going to tip till after 10 o'clock.

On the East Coast going to be a late night for many of you and then potentially an early morning, as is the case with us here on outkick, but we've got half of the final four set.

Battle for for the state championship of Texas Baylor going up against Houston, Kelvin, Samson, Scott, Drew, interesting storyline coming from both of those guys. Remember, it's interesting with Indiana deciding to hire.

And make the choice that they did in terms of Mike Woodson being hired away at the age of 63 without a lot of experience in college basketball virtually none in recent history.

But remember they ran Kelvin, Samson out of Indiana and now he's got a legitimate chance. He's got Houston in the final four. He's got a legitimate chance to win a championship. Baylor is going to be favored a lot of you out there. I bet even though your brackets had a lot of chaos early on, I bet a lot of you out there have a Gonzaga and Baylor championship game.

And that is where I think we are headed. But first, Los Angeles gets to have their voice heard early game, Gonzaga going up against USC and the truth of the matter is this.

Gonzaga has been really good in the NCAA tournament. We knew that they were going to be the favorites. They were the team that a lot of people were focused on not a big surprise there.

But if you look at the performance that we have seen from USC, to me, I like to look at the teams coming into these games. How well they have performed in all three of the games so far leading up to the elite eight.

Here are the teams that have scored outscored their opponents by the most Gonzaga and USC are number one and number two in the first three rounds of the NCAA tournament. The Zags have outscored their opponents by 77 points.

USC has outscored their opponents by 64. By the way, coming into the elite eight three and four on this list, Houston had outscored their opponents by 50 Baylor by 48.

Both Houston and Baylor have already advanced the Zags in USC are playing head to head. UCLA has actually outscored their opponents by 47. Of course, they have gotten an extra game and then Michigan outscoring their opponents by 42.

Both of the teams that lost on Monday night, Oregon State and Arkansas were the two that had outscored their opponents by the least.

So so far margin of victory in the games has been reflective of what overall has ended up happening in these matchups. So big games that are going on there.

We'll see whether or not Gonzaga is going to be able to advance and get to 30 and oh, and I got to give you a me a me a culpa here.

I got to be honest with you. I think that we in the sports media have under covered what Gonzaga has been capable of doing so far during the course of this season.

30 and oh, if they win tonight against USC, which I think is going to be a battle royale and epic contest, because as I just said, both of those teams have been the best performing into the elite eight so far of anybody is 77 point margin for the Zags.

A 64 point margin for USC. If Gonzaga is able to win this game, advance the final four, they're sitting at 30 and oh, I think they're going to be matched up against Michigan, because I think Michigan is going to get past UCLA.

And I think both the L.A. teams are going to lose later tonight. But if we get the Zags against Michigan. And if we have Baylor going up against Houston, after all the chaos, after all the storm and turmoil, we are going to end up with effectively.

As almost of a chat as a as a normal bracket. As you would expect given all the favorites winning. We had all those upsets early on. We're going to have chalk. I think that's where we're going to end up.

And if we end up with chalk, if we end up with the Zags going up against Michigan and Baylor going up against Houston, then we are going to be in a situation where COVID continues to lead us to all of the favorites being in positions to win championships.

Think about that for a minute. Tampa Bay Lightning best team in the NHL win. L.A Dodgers best team in major league baseball win.
