Hello and welcome to the Dizz on Plug, where I'm table discussion for the week of March 28, 2012.

From Orlando, Florida, I'm your host Pete Werner joined at the table this week by my good

friends Walter Eccles, Tracy Heinrichs, Corey Martin, Kevin Close, and John Meijai in the peanut

gallery, Kathy Whirling, Teresa Eccles, and Max the intern. In this segment, we are going to talk

about our experience on the three-night preview crews onboard the Disney fantasy this past weekend.

And let me just start off with a little bit of data on the Disney fantasy just in case you're

interested. Maiden Voyage is scheduled from March 31, which is next week. It will be out of Port

Canaveral doing seven-night sailings. This is a 130,000 gross tons, which in the current market

is actually considered a mid-size ship. A lot of the ships that are being put out now are larger than

that. It is 1115 feet long. It is 216 feet high. It has a maximum cruising speed of 23 and a half

knots. It contains 1,458 crew and has a capacity for 4,000 passengers. So in short, on a full sailing,

almost 5,500 people are onboard that ship. As 1,250 state rooms, 150 of them are inside.

1100 of them are outside with 199 being ocean view and 901 being verand and that includes 21 sweets.

So by Disney standards in particular, it is a very big ship and an absolutely gorgeous ship. This

is the sister ship to the Disney Dream, which was launched last January. You talk about this being

a huge ship, but not other ships that are out there that are bigger. A lot of these bigger ships,

they look like apartment buildings. They are just sort of this giant wall of state rooms and the

Disney ship just has those classic walls and colors. Well, the word, if you had to boil down the

experience of either of these two ships, the dream or the fantasy, the only word you can come up with

is elegant. These are elegant, richly detailed ships. They take a lot of that style from the old
