And we begin with Delta pulling perks from flying members of Congress until they get their act together and end the shutdown. Effective immediately, the airline has grounded benefits like airport escorts, red coat assistance, and super quick screening

privileges. Basically, U.S. lawmakers will be treated like every other traveler until they reach a deal.

The bold move comes one week after the company CEO called the impasse that's led to TSA agents

working without pay an outrage and inexcusable. But the impacted politicians

might not have to slum it for long. Politico reports that some senators are reporting progress,

enough to possibly ink an agreement as early as this weekend.

Playball. The official 2026 baseball season is here and instead of one big day of games,

it's kicking off in three parts. Tonight, there's a special opening night matchup between

the New York Yankees and the San Francisco Giants. Tomorrow, 22 more teams will take the field

and the last six on Friday.

September 27th. Proof that the mobile apps we use just can't keep a secret. According to French newspaper, Le Monde,

a routine jog by a French sailor, ended up revealing the exact location of France's one and

only nuclear-powered aircraft carrier. Arthur, an officer aboard the Charles de Gaulle, used a fitness

app to log a four-mile run on the ship's deck. Because his account was set to

public, the uploaded data exposed the vessel's real-time position in the eastern Mediterranean. And it

wasn't a one-off. Arthur jogged a lot, enough to map the carrier's route across multiple months,

with his workouts placing the ship off the coast of France in February, Copenhagen,

later that same month, and northwest of Cyprus by mid-March. France's armed forces confirmed

the leak and said it's addressing it. The U.S. banned fitness apps and wearable tracking devices

in 2018 for this exact reason.
