Today is Thursday, March 24, 2022.

And we begin with a surprise announcement from the world's number one female tennis player,

25-year-old Ashley Barty, who went pro at age 14, stunned the sports world yesterday

with her decision to go out on top.

In an emotional Instagram video, the three-time grand slam champion said she began thinking

about calling it quits after winning Wimbledon last year, which was her one true dream.

And when she won the Australian Open in front of a hometown crowd this past January, that

was icing on the cake.

At an age when many professionals are just starting out, she says she no longer has the physical

drive or the emotional want to continue.
