Summary

Homily from the Third Sunday of Lent.

Trained in trust...strengthened through struggle.

God has freely given so much to us…and we are grateful. But why do we still experience the consequences of slavery? God gives us the chance to grow in trust of Him and His love…and He allows us to grow stronger in our ability to walk as His children.

0:09.2	But you know, there's something about those people who just have things handed to them, you

0:13.2	Like, so those people like, whoever it was, whatever the kind of situation is, there's
0:17.5	people that maybe you know that maybe you are them, that kind of person, it's just like,
0:20.8	they seem like their life has just been charmed.

0:24.6	The kind of person who is like, no, their family is rich.
0:26.6	They don't have to worry about college.
0:27.6	You have to worry about paying anything.
0:28.6	They just have things handed to them.
0:30.8	Or those people who are so smart that maybe this is actually you.
0:35.2	But those kind of people who are so smart that you found out that you might have studied
0:38.8	the whole weekend for this test you show up on Monday and the person walks in and they're
0:41.7	like, oh, there's a test today and they finish in 15 minutes and ruin the curve for everyone
0:45.9	else.
0:46.9	Like, they just have this handed to them.
0:49.6	Or those people who are athletes, you know, there's natural athletes.
0:51.7	I remember when I was in high school, I was all about running.
0:54.4	Like, everything I did was I ran.
0:56.4	Like, I worked out like five times a day.
