I mean, you may not know the name Peter Navarro.

Interesting guy.

He is, was an aide to former President Donald Trump.

And he's in prison.

He turned himself into federal prison after being convicted for ignoring a House subpoena, contempt of Congress.

So here's the way it works. You have congressional committees.

In this case, it was the January 6th committee.

And Congress issued subpoenas.

And just like any court, you've got to show up. You've got to either produce

documents or you have to show up in person. You're a witness. You can't say no. And if you say no,

then the court can actually issue a warrant. And you can be tried for contempt of court,

ignoring a court order, or in this case of Congress, you can be tried for contempt of court, ignoring a court order, or in this case of Congress,

you can be tried for ignoring a subpoena from Congress.

It's criminal, violation.

So he told Congress to go pound sand.

He was not showing up.

And so what happens is, and he claimed, by the way, executive privilege,

executive privilege being I was working in the White House, I was working for the president,

and therefore what I said and did in my job was executive privilege.

You can't go after it.

The problem is he was accused of being involved in overturning the election.
