And we begin with a most unusual instruction from NASA to its stuck in the sand Mars rover.

With Insight's 15-inch probe helplessly wedged into soil that was thicker than expected,

engineers had little choice but to get creative.

After a few earthbound practice runs,

they told the multi-million dollar lander

to hit itself with a shovel.

It was a risky ask because the digger is loaded with cables and computer lines that feed information back to the space agency

The good news is it worked the space slap freed the probe and after a bit of fine tuning it will get back to work

burrowing beneath the surface of the red planet its ultimate mission to analyze

seismic activity and temperature changes deep inside Mars so that scientists can compare

them to those inside Earth.

Ingenuity is the name of the game these days, even when it comes to taking Fido to do his business.

Like many places around the globe, the island of Cyprus, which is near Greece and the Mediterranean

sea, is on lockdown for health reasons.

But since dogs still gotta do what dogs gotta do,

why not have them do it with a drone?

Video shows Vakas Demetrio standing on his balcony while his

whirly bird walks his pooch up the street, safely tethered to a leash

below the blades. It's a creative solution for sure, and a fun few seconds of entertainment, but for the droneless amongst us,

health experts say it's still safe to take our own dogs for a walk the old-fashioned way.
