Summary
That's not where the news stops, however. We also discuss Little Big Planet, the PlayStation 3 game that may benefit the most from Sony's Home community. It could also help usher in a new era of user-created content, one the likes of which has never been seen before. In three words: we like it. And continuing with the GDC-fueled content, our last discussion covers quotes from three game developers that got the most attention at the show--one from Warren Spector, one from Keiji Inafune and the infamous "the Wii is a piece of shit" quote from Maxis' Chris Hecker. He's never gonna live that one down.

| 0:00.0 | Hello and welcome to episode 20 of the Player One podcast for March 12th, 2007. |
| 0:20.3 | I'm your host, Greg Seward, and with me as always is Chris Johnston, a friend to pigeons everywhere. |
| 0:25.7 | No, I hate pigeons. |
| 0:27.7 | All need to die. |
| 0:29.4 | We'll have to get into that later. |
| 0:31.2 | And joining us from the West Coast is Phil Theobald, who has nothing particularly interesting to say about himself this week. |
| 0:38.1 | People will hate you, Steve, if you're too stingy. |
| 0:43.8 | And playing the part of Dan Dormer this week, |
| 0:47.9 | surprisingly enough, also happens to be Phil Theobald. |
| 0:50.9 | Hey, guys, level 70 or bust? |
| 0:56.1 | So in 20 words or, okay, not 20 words or less, 20 seconds or less, explain your pigeon story, C.J. |
| 1:03.1 | Basically, I have two pigeons hanging out on my balcony and I don't want them there, but they keep coming back. |
| 1:09.1 | And you've bought a plastic owl. |
| 1:10.6 | Yeah, I have a plastic owl. It does not work. It is not a good deterrent. You need to, uh, this, this is a horrible start to our this week's podcast. Yeah. So, so we also decided that 20, you know, is not only is it almost the age of Dan, but in the States we can almost legally drink on this podcast. |
| 1:28.6 | Woo-hoo! |
| 1:29.1 | If you substitute weeks for years. |
| 1:31.4 | And in Canada, we would have been able to drink last week, so suck on that. |
| 1:34.8 | Which goes a long way to kind of explaining Canada there. |
| 1:40.0 | Yeah, because we're selling back. |
| 1:41.2 | That's why. |
| 1:42.0 | I think next week we should just all do the show drunk. It'll be the drunken Player One podcast. Sounds like kind of a PC accelerator. Remember that magazine? Doesn't Howard Stern do that actually on occasion? On occasion? I think he's done that, yeah. Like if they go to Vegas, they'll do a drunk show in Vegas or something. Oh, that would be fun. |
| 2:01.2 | That man is brilliant. |
