And as you know, my specialty all through my legal career was third party reproduction

law, which means frozen embryo surrogacy, surrogate parenting.

Primarily, I've been doing that since literally

I started practicing law.

And, you know, when I started, there were two of us in the world that we're practicing.

Two lawyers.

Now there are hundreds and hundreds, and it has become a true subspecialty.

So whenever I pick up a story about reproductive law, I jump into it. And this is a story

out of Virginia. And this is typically what happens when there is a custody battle over frozen embryos.

What couples will do, they'll come in and they'll create embryos, like my kids, which were born of

individual fertilization. And if the, and the, and the mom to be is super fertilized with whatever

ovulation drugs, whatever fertility drugs, and a whole bunch of eggs are created, are then fertilized with a husband's

sperm. And then the implantation takes place and they try to get a lot of eggs. Normally a human

being punches out one, maybe two eggs per cycle. Well, with super ovulation, 12, 15, 20 is not unusual.

So they fertilize everything.

They use fresh eggs first time out and then everything else is frozen.

And if the first one doesn't take, then they go, they defrost the next batch,

and then those are implanted.

And that doesn't take.

They defrost the next batch, et cetera, et cetera.
