And we begin with a lot of groaning on Wall Street. Stocks have been taking a beating recently

and yesterday was no exception. The Dow Jones

was down 890 points while NASDAQ suffered its steepest drop since 2022. According to the Associated

Press, it was the worst day yet in a scary stretch of massive seesaw swings due to President

Trump's on and off again threat to tax imports from Mexico,

Canada, and China, and his reluctance to rule out the possibility of an economic downturn

known as a recession. Among the stocks taking the biggest gut punch, Elon Musk's Tesla.

It's down 45 percent so far this year.

The task of dealing with President Trump on trade will fall to a new Canadian leader. Mark Carney is succeeding Justin Trudeau as Canada's prime minister.

Mr. Carney has worked in global finance roles for decades but has never been elected to public office. In the end,
