Zoe and I are standing in a special little place called Follower's Harbor.

Follower's Harbor, you're going to find it kind of across from the honey mansion.

Now a little history behind Follower's Harbor is this is name for Admiral Joe Follower.

Now Admiral Joe Follower played a big part in the development of the Panama Canal

and basically helped Walt design all of the hidden waterways that flow and connect all the river

systems and keep the water from stagnating out here in the Diz Unplug Roundtable Park.

He also worked to help design all of the canal works in waterways

at Walt Disney World so that they once again do not have stagnant water systems

such as in the saving of Bay Lake and the connecting and building of Seven Seas Lagoon.

So there's a little tidbit and some of you may remember the little building next to it

used to serve McDonald's French fries. Well it is no longer a french fry eatery

but instead it's actually called the Harbor Galley Restaurant.

One of the most special things about this and this is actually something I never knew until I

came in to kind of check out the restaurant is when they have the ships and dry dock either the river

boat or the pirate ship you're pretty much about five feet away from that boat as you're sitting

and dining. I can basically reach out and touch the beautiful prow figure on the sailing ship

Columbia. The detail in this area is just tremendous. One of the things they did was they actually

expanded around Follower's harbor. You can walk around the edge of the ship right next to the

harbor building and then actually go back around the back side and there's a wonderful extremely

quiet seating area that overlooks the main river of America. It is truly a sight to behold.
