My name is Rob Maower and today we were talking about Model 3 Vins as promised,

as well as Elon Musk, tweeting at Donald Trump.

Tesla stock on the day closed down 0.59% to $327.17, this compared to the NASDAQ which had a pretty strong

day up 1.79. Supercharger network update, we are currently at 1,199 supercharging locations with one new station opening up in Orlando, Florida.

All right, so it's been a little bit of time since we've looked at Model 3 Vins and kind of how production is going there.

Last Friday, March 2nd, Tesla registered 1,088 new Model 3 Vins with NHTSA and the highest registered VIN is now 12,436. If we do that math again where we divide the previous batch of VIN registrations over the days following until the next batch was registered,

that gives us a number of about 45 per day.

That is the last batch, which was 1,262 vins divided by 28 days

until the next batch was registered. Remember that rate had been increasing with each batch of VIN registrations, peaking with that last instance

of VIN registrations that happened on February 2nd.

So that group of VINs was front-ended on January 25th with a registration of 1,672 Vins.

So that took eight days until the next registration happened on February 2nd, which was about

2009 Vins per day.

And now we are at 45 in this instance

of time between vin registrations.

So in terms of what all that really means

for model three production, it's not 100% clear. Previously we had used that

accelerating daily rate of kind of VINs being utilized as evidence of a production ramp up. So similar

logic with this data would imply slower model 3 production.
