I'm John Mangi, I'll be your host this week and I am joined by our Orlando team Kevin Close,

In this segment, Kevin and I are going to tell you a little bit about our trip to New York and our chance to do a tour of the Disney Fantasy as well as attend the christening of the ship.

We are very, very excited to be invited to take part in this. This was a very cool thing.

In addition to, you know, getting a chance to see the ship, we want to have some time to spend in New York, we went out for a whole week.

Some time later on down the road, we're going to do a segment on what to do in New York City in preparation for these cruises that are going to be sailing out of New York.

So it helped us get a chance to get a feel for what's near what and how things are going.

This was work. Yeah, this was work. That a great time. Really had a great trip.

Very excited to see the ship and take the tour. One of the funny things is the ship is parked at the Manhattan cruise terminal.

And unlike Port Canaveral, there's a lot going on around the Manhattan cruise terminal and the ship looks small.

It doesn't have that sort of, you know, how it parking level. Next to a skyscraper, the ship doesn't look so right.

And next to the two-story parking garage in Port Canaveral, ship was huge.

And also, it's next to the intrepid museum. So it's kind of weird that you're next to this thing with planes and guns on a ship.

So it was kind of a fun thing to see in that context.

Just pulled the ship in. So when you walked past it, you were looking straight at the nose of the ship, the bow.

Where you went through the terminal, there were glass, giant glass windows, and you can see the bow of the ship.

And we got great pictures of the New York skyline reflected in the mirror across the bow of the ship.

That's cool. Really, really. For those of you who are into such things, the ship was docked at 48th Street at Pier 88.

We went to Pete, Don, and I had a chance to take the tour. We were the only ones who were invited.

So Kevin wasn't allowed on the ship. Kevin had to go and do things by himself in New York City.
