Good morning and welcome to kid news. I'm Kim. Today is Thursday, March 5th, 2026. And we begin with a major airline taking a new rule to new heights.

United says passengers who refuse to use

headphones while listening to audio or video content, including social media, will be removed

from the flight and possibly even banned from the airline for life. The rule even applies to kids,

and it's meant to keep the peace at 35,000 feet.

According to USA Today, the change to United's policy went into place last Friday and is the strictest of any airline to date.

However, travelers who forget their headphones don't need to sit in silence.

United says free earbuds are available on most flights for those who request

them.

British Columbia is going where the U.S. has not. The Canadian province is permanently

adopting daylight saving time, making it spring forward this coming Sunday, March 8th,

it's last. BC Premier David Ebby announced Monday, we are done waiting.

British Columbia is going to change our clocks just one more time and then never again.

Clocks will no longer return back an hour in November.

Ebby said the twice-yearly flip-flop causes all kinds of problems, from sleep issues,

to dogs getting

up at the wrong time, to more car accidents.
