The news of the day is that Ben Rothsberger, he lowered his cap number, he took a little less money, took a little bit of a haircut, going to stay with the Steelers. The Steel is like, we! Yay! We got Ben, even though we know he's not that good anymore. But it cleared up some cash space. They kicked some of that money down the road, not to pay that tax later. Obviously, the salary cap's going up. You couldn't get him

to retire and just go away. He wants to play. You didn't have to cut him, but you just get

crushed in the cap. It makes some sense. Here's Bucky Brooks, though, from the NFL Network,

who joined us earlier talking about Ben Rothesberger's new contract.

I mean, the issues are fixable if Ben Ruffisberger is okay with them playing the way they need to play,

meaning less Ben Ruffisberger, more running game, more relying on the defense to set them up.

If he's okay with that, they certainly can win a ton of games.

Because remember,

this is a team that went out to 11 and 0 start. At his age, he can't do everything on

offense, meaning he can't throw it 40 plus times with all these deacon dunk passes because

that offense can't work, can't sustain itself. So if they rebuild it where they're going to commit to running the football

and letting the defense set up the offense for scoring chances,

they still can be a very, very formidable team in the AFC.
