I'm Tori. Today is Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026. And we begin with already high pump prices headed higher due to the strikes on Iran.

An independent oil analyst told CNN he expects retail gas prices to rise from 5 to 10 cents a day for at least a while.

The reason is that 20% of the global oil supply moves through the

Strait of Hormuz, which is a narrow channel off Iran's southern coast. As for how long

this conflict will last, President Trump says the mission is ahead of schedule, but that it could

go on for another four to five weeks, longer if necessary. He made those comments at the Medal of Honor

ceremony yesterday afternoon and his first live public remarks since Saturday's initial attack.

A week of tributes is underway for the Reverend Jesse Jackson. Yesterday, thousands of mourners

gathered at the South Carolina State House in Columbia to pay their final respects as Jackson lay in state at the Capitol for over five hours.

The tribute marked a striking historical reversal.

As a young man in Greenville, Jackson was once arrested for sitting inside the city's White's only library branch.
