I start off the show a couple hours ago with some good news and I know that a lot of people over the last year we tried to kind of be optimist on this show.

And so if your alarm goes off and you lean over and you smack the alarm and then you start off your morning listening to us on your Amazon Alexa or on streaming or one of our 300 plus AM FM satellite radio however you are listening to outkick thank you.

And our audience is exploded over the last year and I think one reason is because there's a desperate desire for optimism in this country because so much of what is trending and talked about on a daily basis is about negativity.

Oh we're going to cancel doctor soos the Amazon logo it looks like eight off Hitler's mustache we've got to change it much of the news on a day to day basis is very negative.

And I think we'll look back on the outkick show it's been almost a year since we went months and months and months with zero sports news.

And I think we'll look back I'm very proud of all the shows that we have done over the past year I think people will look back and say man I'm not sure there was any sports talk radio show in the country that was more instrumental in helping to make sure that sports existed.

NHL NFL NBA major league baseball college basketball college football then outkick and I'm certain there was no website in the world of sports that was more instrumental in sports being played then outkick.

And I'm going to continue to fight these battles because I think there's a lot of positive directions there were still not all the way back.

In order to be all the way back we need to be where we were in February and March of 2020 before the covid shutdown started where if you wanted to go to a sporting event if you wanted to go to a concert if you wanted to go to a Broadway play if you wanted to go to a movie all you had to do was just get to the facility.

There tickets available there's no restrictions you can spend your entertainment dollars however you would like to do so.

And sports for most people is entertainment and I think we are getting close to being back to 100% normalcy but until we are there I am going to be leading the vanguard the charge against the corona bros who are still trying to stop sports from being played unbelievably.

There are still a lot of them out there so I want to give you to non partisan what I believe are really exciting bits of news about sports getting back to normal number one.

The Joe Biden administration came out yesterday and they said by May 31st we're sitting here what's today March 3rd days all run together I think we're at March 3rd.

Is that right to March the 3rd March the 3rd.

All right March the 3rd it is they told us that by May 31st every single person who wants to have the covid vaccine will have it.

If that is the case then to me by June the 1st every single sports stadium every single movie theater every single concert every single business.

Should be open 100% if you want to go watch a majorly baseball game in your favored city you should be able to go buy tickets and there should be able to be a completely full stadium.

If you don't want to go you don't have to go just like before if you're still afraid that's fine but once the covid vaccine exists your fears 100 billion percent should no longer be able to restrict my freedom.

I am out there traveling I personally think I've already had covid I haven't had the antibody test but I haven't changed my life and so I would kind of be stunned if I haven't already had it at some point NFL games college football college basketball flying I just came back from Mexico I've been going out everywhere I looked at the data and I determined for my family my kids have been in school since August.

I'm a guest in person I determined based on the data for my family what my risk tolerance is for me for my wife and for our kids and we have lived our lives mostly in a normal fashion basically since may of last year.

I understand but I don't really care and my superpower to the extent that I have any at all my wife would tell you the exact same thing if she was talking with you is most people out there care what other people think I don't give a damn what you think about me I really don't doesn't impact me in any way you think I'm the greatest person on the planet thank you.
