I'm Kim, today is Thursday, March 2nd, 2023, and we begin with a dazzling detour over the skies of the United Kingdom.

At least two commercial pilots from EasyJet and Finair, both made unscheduled loops over the North Sea to allow passengers on both sides of the aircraft to see the northern lights.

The spectacle, also known as the Aurora Borealis, is usually only visible from Scotland, parts of northern England, and regions closer to the Arctic like Scandinavia.

But this time could be seen over the southern UK.

According to the Royal Museum's Greenwich, the Aurora Borealis is caused by particles from the sun, colliding with atoms and molecules, which form wavy patterns of light.

Passengers tweeted, thanking the pilots for allowing them to witness the absolutely unforgettable display from the air.

An EasyJet spokesperson told Sky News, were delighted to have been able to share this special view.

It might be a first. All of Yosemite National Park in California is now closed. After 15 feet of snow fell in some areas.

Partial shutdowns happen most winters, but according to KCBS Radio, Rangers can't remember any time that the entire park had to shutter.

Crews are working to clear the roads and restore critical services, but with that much snow, the closure is listed as indefinite.

Matt Strom, one of the Philly's newest relievers, says he has a notably big baseball card collection that includes cards of almost all 39 players who have homework against him.

Strom says, I call it my box. If you hit a home run against me, you're good enough to collect.

Strom told MLB dot com he began collecting baseball cards at age 11 or 12 and estimates his haul to be almost a million.

He says he has a spare bedroom full of the cards and hopes to pass them down to his daughter one day if she wants them.

Another professional athlete is revealing his own secret. Former Cincinnati football player Chad Ocho Sinko Johnson says he spent the first two years of his career.

Living inside the Bengal Stadium so he could save money and focus on his game.

Johnson told reporters he didn't see the point of buying or renting a house when everything I need is right here in the facility.
