the historical background.

And then over the centuries, this has been a time of

special celebration in the Jewish community of Purim plays, people dressing up as various

characters. And of course, there is the hated Haman who wanted to exterminate the Jews,

who becomes the prototype of all those through the ages who have risen up to exterminate

the Jewish people and who themselves have been judged by God and sometimes judged by their own
