Summary

What truly matters most in your life? What pushes you to work harder, and how far are you willing to go to protect those things? In this episode, we're talking about the real cost of not having boundaries and why protecting your peace is just as important as growing your business.

I share a personal experience of what happens when work and personal life blur together, including the moment a customer showed up at my house on Christmas Eve. That moment forced me to take a hard look at how I was running my business and the boundaries I failed to set.

If you're an entrepreneur who feels constantly available, this episode will help you rethink boundaries as a form of protection, not limitation. Because success isn't just about how hard you work, it's about creating clear separation so your business supports your life, not consumes it.

could change your life. They definitely can change your business. And I want to talk today about

0:30.0

how you can set boundaries for like your family and your business without feeling guilty.

0:36.1

And here's why I want to talk about this, because most women

that I know, like, when we're working, a lot of times we feel bad that we aren't taking care of

0:46.2

our families. And then often when we're with our families, we feel like we should be working.

0:51.9

Or at least we're thinking about how like behind we're going to be

0:55.0

when we do get back to work. But can anybody relate to that? Just like there doesn't seem to be an

1:01.1

easy answer for this. It's like this constant pull of like needing to be in two places at once,

1:08.1

wanting to be in two places at once. You're over here, but you're thinking about being over here. You're over here and you're wishing you're over here.

1:15.8

You're over here, but you know you should be over there. Like, it's, it's, I, I constantly feel like

1:21.0

there's a little bit of a rub when it comes to female entrepreneurs and, you know, business and family. And how do we do both without feeling

1:31.4

guilty? And I know that one of the answers is better boundaries, okay? But when you think about

1:36.7

better boundaries, you know, then you're like, okay, well, what does that actually look like?

1:40.3

Does that look like no talking about work during family time? Does it look like, you know,

1:46.1

trying not to take family phone calls or text during work time. And I'm not talking about

1:51.6

emergency calls from your kids, by the way. I'm talking about like not talking to your

1:54.8

sisters or your best friends or, you know, texting while you're trying to be at work. And by the

2:00.1

way, I never have done those

2:01.3

things. We literally have always talked about work over family dinner. And, you know, back when I
