In our last installment, we talked about Iron Man, the metal-plated seed from which the Marvel Cinematic Universe would sprout.

Now let's talk about Captain America's Civil War, the latest offering from the MCU. The Avenger Initiative, introduced by Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury, has become a powerful peacekeeping force. And with great power comes, well, you know the rest. This is ostensibly the third Captain America movie, and while Cap is very much front and center, it's also very much an Avengers movie. It's also an Iron Man movie. And that's because those MCU characters figure

so heavily into the plot. What's more, it's also a film tasked with making that universe bigger,

bringing in a new Spider-Man and for the first time, Black Panther, both soon to get their

own solo movies. It's so big it makes Iron Man look like a quiet character study.
