Summary

In today’s podcast Adam Ben Ezra lifts the lid on one of my favourite YouTube videos of all time. There are so many bass players around today, especially now with YouTube; there are millions of guys playing some incredible stuff, but from a pure bass perspective, Adam Ben Ezra is the real deal.

Hey guys, how's it going and welcome to another episode of the SBL podcast. I think we're here with

0:05.8

episode 28. I can't believe we've done 28 of these. And today I'm lucky enough to be sitting down

0:11.3

with Adam Ben Ezra, who is a double bass player, composer and multi-instrumentalist. You've probably

0:19.4

seen his amazing YouTube video where he's playing the

0:24.6

track that he wrote called Can't Stop Running. It's beautifully filmed. There's a dog in the video,

0:30.7

which as a dog lover makes me, you know, like the video even more. But it's been watched

0:35.8

millions and millions of times on YouTube.

0:39.5

And from the back of that, really, he's launched an entire career.

He's been touring the world, doing solo performances and performances with his trio.

0:48.1

And he's really got a unique style, which includes a lot of percussive elements as well,

0:53.4

where he'll play the bass but then also use the

1:02.7

so i'm really looking forward to getting stuck into this interview but before we get into the

1:07.5

interview i also want to say ibase. I did mention it last week,

1:12.1

and I did mention that we had a landing page up so you could put your email down. Again, I want

1:16.8

to mention it just so you don't miss the early bird offer we're going to have going out at the

1:23.2

beginning of July. Essentially, we're going to be taking digital online magazines really to the

1:30.3

next level, obviously, within the base niche. I'm not going to do it. You know, fishing magazines,

1:35.1

not so much. But in terms of, you know, did you get it? Bass? Bishing? Fish? Well, bad humor,

1:42.5

I suppose. But anyway, I-Base magazine is coming into the Scots Bass Lessons family.

1:47.4

Our first issue is coming out the 1st of July. It's going to be a super exciting issue. We've got a crazy, crazy cool cover artist.

1:55.5

And for anybody on the early bird list, you are also going to get a killer offer, okay, killer offer, but it's not
