On September 7th, 70, the Roman Army General Captain Titus occupied Jerusalem.

Seriously, how crazy is that? Not even 1970, just straight up 70.

You know what, I'm just kidding. Something else spectacular happened on that date.

It's a milestone.

On September 7, 1914, New York City opened up the post office to the public.

I mean that's huge guys.

No more pony express, no more letters attached to Crow's feet.

I mean, I can't imagine what they did before that building was open to the public.

No, seriously, guys, I'm actually referring to my one year of sobriety, which is going to come up on September 7th 2015 but I'm not even

really thinking about it I'm not even going to celebrate it till it happens because a wise man once told me if you're an alcoholic you got to take

this thing one day at a time I'm not even looking out on the horizon for my one year

of sobriety but you bet your back, I am going to be celebrating that.

If I make it, nothing's in the book yet, but that's my plan, because today I'm going to be sober

and I do my best to stay sober tomorrow as well. Today is part three of the four-part series called The Other Side.
