Father Patrick, how are things up in Providence?

Well, outside of my cell, things look cold and dreary, which is to say that we are in the midst of another scenic

New England winter. It makes me appreciate things like electricity and heat and being inside.

Ah, yes.

And there are many things outside which I do not appreciate right now.

Have you had snowfall yet?

We have, yes.

And right now, there's just a light dusting,

which is nice.

It's scenic for Christmas, you know.

Okay.

Is it like collected at the edges of the roads and covered in dark things?

We're not quite to that state.

That's very exciting. You know, when you pass from Christmas to New Year's, a lot of times the roads just look like old Christmas decorations.

They sort of resemble a haggard holiday, you know, a joyful experience past and the roads are salty and dirty and the snow is marred.

And in that way they, in that way they look like one of my like a living room after one of my family's

Christmas gatherings. Just used up ravaged. There is a sense in which like snowfall

...
