And today we're going to be talking about a landmark trial called the Smart Trial.

And the Smart Trial actually stands for Salmatorol, Multcenter asthma research trial, which was published in

chest in 2006.

So just to give a little bit of background with this one, this is a study. We knew some historical

data that seemed to imply that the L-ABAs or lab or lung-acting beta agonists, and what

these refer to either salmeterol or formoderol, this comes to medications that have been used for L-A-B-A-A-B-A-L-A-B-A-L-A-L-A-L-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-B-A-A-A-B-A-A-A-B-A-A-B-A-A-B-A-A-B-A-A-B-A-A-R-A-B-A-R-A-R-A-R-A So what they wanted to do with this trial is to determine whether or not salmeterol in particular
