Most people are giving up on an idea before an idea has got a chance to be able to reach maturity

and when you produce a piece of work that is so distilled, you can then do so much more with it.

I think it's hard for people to understand at the highest level you don't pay for so much time you pay for their expertise and then

when we make that shift in life it changes everything. We still live in a world where

people want to tell people what to do because it matters to me. I can tell you what

I think you should do, Erwin for as long as I've got air in my lungs,

and you will not connect with that until you decide it matters to you.

We live in an advice-driven world where people believe that your advice is the gift.

No, the gift is created by somebody saying I value rice.

I think the goal would be to build a community where speakers feel so comfortable they want to come back.

And give people who speak in primarily corporate spaces or you know to teams an opportunity

where the people that they can connect with on a local level.

I'm part of a community that we run up in Toronto each year in Canada. It's called Epic,

Circa 100 people, same group of people come,

but on the speaker side of things,

some of us are faculty,

and we were part of the founding piece and then some of it is

new faces so it's about half and half there's six of us that the same recurring and have to come up with

new material every year and

Aaron had that same thought for ours that we should have some people

that would anchor. I just didn't know.

It's always hard when you go to your friends.
