And there are six leading plaintiffs, and that's what usually happens.

Six or one or two file the lawsuit.

And they're accusing Match Group of owning a bunch of dating sites, of having predatory

business models and deliberately employing psychologically manipulative features that ensure,

I'm reading from the lawsuit, that ensure they remain on the app perpetually as paying subscribers.

In other words, Tinder is cheating. They have developed software,

not necessarily to have you connect with people, although that happens, but it's to keep you

on the site and then upsell you, which there's a fair number of apps that do that like all of

them. But this one is particularly egregious.

Tinder, Hinge are named. I use these, particularly Grindr. They do the same thing.

There it is. I'm trying to connect with an Adonis. And I find out that if you really want to connect with him,

you have to pay a lot of money.

Well, I can do that.

I can go down to Santa Monica Boulevard and pay a lot of money.

But they're saying, pay us the money.

So this lawsuit, here's what it says, that Match intentionally designs the platforms with addictive, game-like design features, locking users into a perpetual pay-to-play loop that prioritizes corporate profits over its marketing promises and relationship goals.

Upselling people is okay, but you can't do that deceptively.

That you can't do, and that's what this lawsuit is about.

And it argues that users are being drawn into compulsive usage that does not help them meet their relationship goals. So the bigger the loser you are,
