A day that gives millions of superstitious people a bit of anxiety. Fear of this day has two

tongue-twisting names, paraskividecophobia and frigatriskydecaphobia. Rumor has it, if you learn to

say the disorder, you'll never suffer from it. There's no science behind that, however, or the

superstition itself. Statistically, Friday the 13th is not any more lucky or unlucky than any other day. That's good news because in any given calendar year, there's at least one, and this year there's three. Today, four weeks from now in March and then again in November.

Is it possible to get addicted to social media? According to the head of Instagram, the answer is no.

On Wednesday, while testifying in the ongoing landmark trial, Adam Masseri said it was important to differentiate between problematic use when someone

spends more time scrolling than feels good or healthy and a clinical addiction. On her longest day,

the young plaintiff reportedly spent 16 hours on the app. Mr. Masseri acknowledged that

was problematic, but didn't call it an addiction. He also fielded

questions about the company's use of beauty filters and how advertising targets teens, claiming

Instagram is trying to make the app safer without limiting creativity. The trial is scheduled to

continue today. A giant sea cow is on the mend after getting stuck where you'd least expect it.
