Good morning and welcome to Kid News. I'm Tori. Today is Tuesday, February 13, 2024.

And we begin with what makes a brand cool among kids.

According to a new survey, it often means being associated with a celebrity.

The youth research organization, YPulse, surveyed nearly 130,000 people between the ages of 13

and 39 last year and found that 69% say they're more likely to purchase items that are considered cool, which was defined as unique and

stand out from their competitors.

How to do that?

WaiPulse's chief content officer told Axios that when a celebrity that a young person likes

launches a brand, it gives that product instant coolness

because the popularity is baked into it.
